The Winnings

The “Winnings” is a full-length feature film which cannot be placed in any definite frame. It is an eclecticism of genres – comedy, action, crime film and parody – all this is offered to the public in an amusing and original way with the adequate dose of self-irony.

The story of “The Winnings” is centered on Kury, Tony and The Long Guy, three good friends played by Sasho Kossev, Zoueka and Malin Krastev. They are all unemployed and dawdle their days away at the local bar in the expectation of something to happen.

So, one day, checking his Eurofootball ticket Kury found out that he had won the jackpot – an enormous amount of money. From that day on his life changed but not in the way he had dreamed of. A ferocious fight had to be fought for the precious prize. The three friends and Kury’s bodyguard, Max, played by Assen Blatechki, faced the grim reality where everyone they knew, even their nearest and dearest, attempted to steal the winning ticket from Kury. And as if that was not enough, the protagonists managed to get involved in another, even more dangerous mess. The four of them found themselves in the whirl of a gangster war for a priceless diamond. Things started to look pretty hot and the friends were forced to become, for a short while, real action heroes all this leading to numerous comic situations.

The two plots develop in parallel, the action is dynamic and full of twists. In the long run, it turns out that nothing is what it looks like and the finale is absolutely unexpected and unpredictable.
